Quite often, people who decide they want to reduce their weight start out by achieving great development towards achieving their weight loss endeavors.
Whatever method they’re utilising, they are shedding weight rapidly.
But then something happens - they have a bad day at their workplace, or they have an argument with their spouse, or perhaps they just get really bored, and they fall back in to their old ways.
They devour huge amounts of food till their tummy is full, and then some.
They gluttonously chomp on fatty unhealthy food that they don't actually enjoy.
They eat so much they cannot move any longer.
This is the astonishing reality. These things take place.
Nevertheless what REALLY matters, is what happens NEXT.
Because we’re all human beings.
We are never going to be perfect.
We're never going to do everything properly.
We're never going to live in a world without setbacks.
The WRONG thing to do when we stuff ourselves full to bursting and then say that "Now that I have done this, it shows that everything that has gone before is worthless, all the progress I've made doesn't mean anything and so there is no point even in trying."
The RIGHT thing to do when we stuff ourselves full to bursting and then some is to say "Now that I have done this, it shows I am a human being. But I made some good progress before this happened, and I can make some good progress after this has happened. I can nonetheless achieve my weight loss goals, and that's something worth making an effort for."
The REALITY is that it is only up to you to choose the RIGHT PATH.
You could choose to be the individual who takes setbacks in their stride.
You could choose to be the person who acknowledges that they are human, and then moves on.
You could always pick to be that individual who decides that an achievable target is still achievable, although development is not always ideal and given to us on a golden platter.
So if you do suffer an impediment, do not quit.
Just say to yourself - this just shows I'm a human being.
However, the targets that I have set for myself to achieve are still worth achieving.
That I can and I'll achieve them.
